Options for Edward Snowden on Jamaica Speaks

Jamaica_SpeaksJust yesterday, I was invited to join the Jamaica Speaks radio show on Hot102 FM (Kingston)  with host, Trevor Munroe (and fellow respondent, Steve Vladeck, Professor American University-Washington College of Law) for a discussion this morning on ‘Options for Edward Snowden’.  While I didn’t have much time to plan, I think I made some good points that – I learned – resonate with those made by Jimmy Carter (♥).  Here’s some situations, concepts and sources I looked to for context before the show — Dublin Regulation, Human Rights Defender, Daniel Ellsberg, Salman Rushdie, Right of Asylum, Taslima Nasrin, a HuffPo piece, What If Snowden Was on Board the Bolivian President’s Jet?and a NYTimes Op-Ed, Snowden, Through the Eyes of a Spy Novelist.
